A mat weaving too form the Mahakam, features an Aso dragon Dog underworld figure in a classic figure 8 positio. The top and base is finished with simply yet stylized relief. This piece dates to mid 20th Cent. Attached are examples here from institution collections, one is from the book Arc of the Ancestors. On the images one displays a similar Aso Figure and the other with the human figure displays a similar relief on the top and bottom of this piece.
