KENYAH BEADED HAT - A Kenyah dayak beaded rattan hat from East Kalimantan, collected in the early 50's by a dutch photographer.The beadwork displays a Antu (ghostly) and Aso (Dragon/Dog) underworld figures. Also attached is a shell with beadwork tassels attached to it.The Rattan and cloth stitch in the interior of the hat shows more wear,beadwork possibly added just before collection in the 50's.
